I've did it again.
Said someting stupid
A smart comment,
Or tried to play cupid.
I've spoiled our friendship
By trying too hard
Buying you presents,
Sending a card
I want you to like me
For the person I am
Not who I try to be
Trying to change for the 'best'
Thinking I'll now be
Much better than the rest
I always ruin it
Sooner or later
It fails, bit by bit
Apoligising too much
Not being there enough
Overdoing it just a touch
The only reason why
Is I want more than friendship
Because it feels so good
If only you would
But everything, I break
Our friendship
My heart
Alway's it's wrong
My feeling's so strong
But now I've ruined it
I've did it again.

WOW! Can you read my mind?!?! The email I just sent to one of my best friends sounds astonishingly similar to this. I really like the way it flows. nice and simple, but illustrates the point!
