I'm hurting so bad
But I can't let it show
Even though he caused this pain
I could never let him know

I thought he was different
I thought he cared
I fell for his smile
his eyes and his hair

We sat around talking
sharing all our weird stories
But little did I know
That was the end of the glory

I thought we connected
I thought this was special
If only I had been
A little more careful

I fell really hard
Putting my heart on the line
Only to hear those famous words
"Thats not what I had in mind"

And now things are different
Even though he said its not
It's hard for me to be this way
Because I can't have what I want

Oh I so know how you feel. My heart pounds just thinking about it. It's hard. But of course matters of the heart always are. I hope everything turns out for you. Just remember that a friendship is worth the work. I know it's weird now but soon you won't even remember what happened. I'm always here to talk. Good luck. Thanks for sharing.

this is truly one of your best works!! i really really liked it, even if you wrote it in speech class :-P like, every single word was just as powerful as the next! I FEEL YOUR PAIN! then again true friends are forever, and even though he caused a lot of pain i think it's beyond AWESOME that you guys are still friends.

aww man! Hello we're living identical lives! Doesn't it make you SOO mad to know that what youve wanted was there, and you felt it, and it was sooo great...and then it wasn't even real?!? I just did this. Found a great guy, and he was like everything i was looking for, and i mean everything. And I had never been so happy w/ a guy, then come to find out it was all an act, sorta a bet with a friend. Pisses me off that I'm so picky and i finally found what ive been looking for and it wasn't even real. UGH! Just scream with me it will be fun..

oh oh..and about the part about getting caught up in his smile, his eyes and his hair...O0ooOo0o...girl dont even get me started! its the darn'd smile that gets me everytime. But my guy chopped his curly hair, so atleast i'm down to his eyes and his smile

maybe he'll get punched in the face and it'll knock some teeth out..one can only pray

Wow, this could have been written about me!! I definitely know what you're going through, and "hurting" is just the way I would describe it. Be careful who you trust. It's always the guys who seem the sweetest that end up breaking your heart. Although I'm sure you feel like **** now, at least you'll know to be more careful next time. I feel 4 u.

I really loved this poem. I could really relate to it. But dont ever give up on love , not every guy is like that . Y ou will find a great guy some day who makes you incredibly happy!
