Still, I cannot forget...
The evil of your spoken words.

   I hate you for all you are!
   I hate you for ripping my heart apart!
   I hate you for all your spoken lies!
   I hate you for not wanting 'us' to be!

The pains of the past are where you shall stay.
A blocked memory, you'll be.
I convince myself, no longer that I love you still.
It brings to much misery.

   I hate you for not caring,
   I hate you for pushing me away,
   I hate you for wasting my life,
   I hate you!

I let you into my life.
I told you things I'd tell no one else.
I trusted you,
I believed you,
Worst of all... I loved you!

NO longer shall you have my heart,
I don't cry out for you at night anymore.
You deceived me,
You betrayed me...
And everything I stand for.

All I can do is hate you now.
That's the only way I won't love you.
If I have to say it everyday I will!

powerful powerful words....hate is such a harsh word. breaking up can be a hard thing to do especially if you honestly loved them. and true it takes time to get over a break up. telling yourself that you "hate" him most likely isn't going to work, especially if you are lying to yourself. give it time hun.

great poem and the end added a nice finish.

awwwww man A this is awful! ((( hugs )))....i hate seeing you go through this. its not fair is it? powerful poem A, i really do wish for the best in all of this for you. let the anger subside and try and work things out. you id make a life commitment, it would be a shame to let that go...

Love is so complex. It's terrible when there are glitches in relationships. But you know what I've learned? If it's meant to be, if it's supposed to be what you're in forever, it will be. Even if you or he needs space right now, I garauntee things will always work out the way they are supposed to. Have faith in fate...

I've not been in touch for a while, I know, but I take it something bad happened between you and him, eh Andrea? I know I can't be of much help, having never been in the same position before, but I feel I should say something. Though I don't know the specifics, I still have blind faith in true love. You had enough faith in it to tie the knot, so don't give up so easily. And if he dosen't come back, though it may be hard to see riht now, there will be others. Love is by no means a smooth road.

yikes, the title jumped out at me, and when I read it, I connected to it. that's how I felt right after me and one of my boyfriends broke up (a long time ago, but I still know the pain a broken heart can bare). it doesn't help to hate, what helps is to try to move on. I'm glad I did :

whoa, go you! that's awesome that you're at least trying to not let the person affect you. nobody is worth making yourself feel depressed over. be strong and you'll eventually get over it. be happy and smile. yay. pretty poem...

Howdy...
Powerful poem. Very good. That's one thing I like about poetry. It helps one too not keep everythiggn in, to 'let it out' so to speak. But it's also hard to bear yourself open for all to see. I may not know you well, but I'm here to listen - I'm good at that. Good luck in healing.
