If Only My heart said keep you, your the one My mind said let you go So I let you go Now I regret it If only I had listen to my heart Would I still have you If I could I would Go back to the day I let you go I would have kept you instead of let you go If only I had listen to my heart Now all I can do is think of you and cry Knowing that I had you and let you go I miss you so much Even thought I know I have lost you I still wish you were mine again If only I had listen to my heart |

"Listen to your heart for it knows the way even when you do not." That used to be my little quote thing.. I also learned the hard way that the heart is always pure and the mind can be so easilly misled or poisoned by fear or something along those lines... geez I need to stop rambling..  Anywho, great poem... very expressive, honest, and true. There are always answers as long as you're open enough to accept the answers you were not looking for. |

It's definately hard when you let someone go and then regret it afterwards. It's REALLY hard when you know you shouldn't have let them go. Just make sure that you're not upset because you miss him/her, all right? You'll get through it eventually... Good luck! If you define cowardice as running away, tripping and screaming at the first sign of danger, then yes, Mister Brave Man, I guess I am a coward. |

it's tuff to deal with something like this. letting someone go is never easy to do, especially if you regret it. but like the saying goes "it's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all". hang in there. |

There was a bit of over-repetition of "let you go", but other than that, I thought this was pretty well written! |
