I have returned! What is it you have to answer? But to answer you have to ask? And to ask you have to speak? And to speak you have to know, The answer. |

hoppy, ok now i have to be a good person and tell you that this is a poetry forum, used for posting poetry... you can edit or delete this post...u can edit it and say something like "roses are red, its time to go to bed, arent u glad im back, i want to buy a new hat" and that would be just fine...but a one line, non poem piece isnt exactly supposed to be here...if you do not act upon this someone will most likely move it to teenchat...thanks! --A "If I made you mad today, would you still love me tomorrow?"-Incubus |

need we all go back to poetry class? if need be we can infact argue that this is a poem, an expression of the author's true and deep emotions expressed to his fellow peers in the modest one line poem. If you look deeper into this piece you will see that the reference to a person returning definatly points to a deeper venue. It insinuates that they have been in a place and have now come out of that place. This arises questions to the reader such as "where have they been" what insights have they found intheir former state of being. The reference to "I" is it a reference to the person themselves or their inner being? I will not insult your intellect by stating text book definition of poem, because in ever aspect of the word, this is infact apoem, short and sweet and to the point bringing up questions to the reader that they may never have thought of before. Such as"can you ever really return"? once you leave a current place and then come back are you really "returning" or entering into an entirely new place, because no one moment in time is the same as the next. Look deeper, and do try to think deeper, and by all means, write deeper....we are but treading on the shallow end of a deep pool [This message has been edited by hoppy (edited 10-17-2001).] |

You might not have the intentions of such insult, but the nature of the words as specified or said still does show more than a little confidence towards one's pressumed intellectual advantage. As you have stated that every phrase, line, or word could have a deeper meaning, such a line could also be taken in simplest form. Thus an understanding of, "Hey guys, I'm back here in Passions In Poetry" as a given example. So, please do understand that side of other readers. Thank you |
