                        My Tribute to a Butterfly

I have not seen thee much
But dance in my world a while
        I'll pay thy expenses

I think how oft you curl your flight
(under your tail to view the twirling ground
        Where we all come from)

I think you remind me of someone
        content anywhere under the sun
But I've yet to see you again

I hold my awe in check
"Tis but a butterfly," I mutter
     Held in esteem of thee
         who I am
I mark your beauty; forgive me
to not write books and books of you
I'm sure you still have yet to read
       a first edition.

are you too busy flying on your own breeze?

"and Death i think is no paranthesis"-e.e. cummings

Right on! And to think I was going to pass it by... Into my library!

How amazingly written. I like how you used the analogy of a butterfly to match soceities standards. Very well done there and quite creative of you.
One of your deeper pieces that I cannot praise you enough for.

Well done and thank you tons for sharing this.

Sean:

You are incredible! You do nothing but amaze me every time you post! I can do nothing but sit here in awe and praise you for your work.
You capture the right frame of mind in this piece, and the last line...that was just wowish.

"are you too busy flying on your own breeze?"

Almost reminds me of today's society...
Excellent poetry from you, yet again! It's always a pleasure seeing your s/n on the board! A definate library piece! Congrats!

Oh, one more thing...
May I do an illustration based on this? The imagery was much too tempting...let me know, kay?
