Darkness wraps its wings around me
Choking out any light,
Beckoning me to another side
That can't be seen,
Stepping one step closer to the edge.
You shut me out
Leaving me in the cold.
I know I can't make things right
So this time
I welcome the darkness
And the bitter tears that fall from my eyes.
I welcome the dagger words to my heart
To end my pain and suffering.
You will not watch me fall into the clutches of darkness
And this time I can not be saved
For only the darkness can comfort me now.
Here is where I'll take my rest
Until the tears leave nothing
But a dried up salty mess
And I waste away into the dust
That rides on the wind.

Your dark mood rocks!!

Wow...I've got some killer images running around in this head at the moment. Your ending is fantastic. It's so perfect for this piece. You have done really well on this. Be proud!!
