Why are you killing us? By killing them you kill us too, This isn’t what we want from you. Can’t you see what we need to do? Why are you so blind? Senseless wars do no good. They never hurt the ones they should. Now nothing stands where lives once stood. Why won’t you just stop to think? Stop the fighting; end the hate. Lift from us this burdened weight. Stop it all ‘fore we’re too late. Why can’t you just understand? We don’t need this anymore. True, some things we can’t ignore, But our grief is not a cry of war. -------------------- ...inspired by a picture I saw of a girl wearing a sign with the words "Our grief is not a cry of war." I was crying as I wrote this.. -Adam |

Adam, I understand your feelings, I however do not agree. I do not wish to see the innocent of any where be hurt. But I refuse to let this go quietly....he will pay. |

I never said the guilty shouldn't pay. But I don't think an all out war is the right way to go. I don't have an opinion of how we should go about punishing the guilty, so don't ask. Either way...it won't end. Because we're human, it will never end. -Adam |

we can hope it ends, but you are probably right my dear....and just so you know, I have no solutions myself.....just a want of justice.....and a prayer for it to be done swiftly....and to the right person ![]() |

war is only an option, but it seems like some people are so hard headed that we are forced to this circumstance. hi Sweets, Lizzy, Kris, Ina, Allysa, Erica, Minna, Kit, Kamie, Javi, Jenn, Sharon, Nan, Cawlee, Cherish, Ashley, Sara, Justine, Leah, Jess, Kimmie, Ma |

*standing ovation!!* I could not agree with you more. War is not needed to solve this rather sticky problem but don't tell the gun loving peeps that insist on blowing someone up for revenge! ![]() I thought your piece was excellent. You always go the other way in your writing meaning you don't do what everyone else is doing. It is fantastic to see. ![]() I hope to see tons more like this 'cause each one I read goes to the library. ![]() ~AF~ Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree, merry, merry king of the bush is he. Kosetsu~ This poem brought tears to my eyes. It was so moving. I, too, agree that war isn't the only option. That killing innocent people can't be the only thing we can do. There are other options that we are all to upset to talk about. I share your feelings on this and I hope other's begin to see that there are things to do besides go and kill! That's doing the exact thing they did to us. Not everyone in Afghanistan supports Osamma Bin Laden and not every muslim shares his beliefs. Actually he was ostracized from the royal family for his radical religious beliefs but no one talks about that. Murder, Death, Destruction. What is the right in all of this? Great poem~Sad topic. Chelsea If we're told we're bad, that's the only idea we'll ever have. Maybe if we are surrounded by beauty someday we will become what we see. |
