It's been three years
since I last saw
the smile on your face
the life in your eyes

the days come and go
with hardly a thought
of you being gone
buried and dead

but a day comes soon
the day of your birth
and I stop and remember
all the days before

days turned to years
with hardly a thought
my life proceded
like I didn't even care

then another day came
and he left me too
you're both toghether now
watching out for me I know

three years for you
and two months for him
time went so slow
then moved to fast

I honour you not enough
not even a thought
blocking the knowledge of you
to soothe away the pain

yet on days like this
you seep through my mind
and tiny things remind me
of how you made me smile

but that doesn't stop
the pain I hide
I miss you both so much
yet I don't even think of you

Losing parents is always a painful process although I am not speaking from a personal experience. With time brings memories and usually enough bandaging to heal. I hope you can get through this alright with the support of your friends and other family members.
