For those who believed in good, For the ones who's ground they stood. For those who's lives were took, And the families they shook. For those who believed in what's right, For those who fell out of sight. For those that gave their lives, And the children husbands and wives. For those who made this country great, For those spread from state to state. For the ones who believed in freedom, And those that help make our kingdom. For the ones who lost their life, For the families left to strife. For the children left behind, And those we have yet to find. In remembrance of all those who died today in the terrorist attacks-September, 11, 2001 Do as you please....strike forth down upon your knees...Darkness Falls on Those Without Souls |

"For the children left behind, And those we have yet to find." Those two lines hit me the hardest. Children are too innocent to be lost... It's a great piece and gives a good description of the event well. ~AF~ "Kelly's my Hero!" "No, Kelly's your heroine." "Kelly has heroin??" "What?" |

Your poem truly touched me. I live in NY and the pain and desolation everywhere are captured in your words, but also hope and promise. Thank you. *~Meredith~* I'll just keep on laughing, |

This is great. I did do a poem like this, and I do hope that we catch the culprit and give him a taste of American Justice. ![]() ~*~It is said that laughter is the shortest distance between two people...~*~ |

Nice tribute poem, though it's sad there was even such an event that needed a tribute. *sigh* Lizzy took my fav lines. ![]() United we stand, Divided we fall. |
