This is one of my darkest poems. This is the effect of my life getting more messed up then it is! Read on, if you please!

The Course of Time-

As I stare into the Pool of Tomorrow,
I see my destructive destiny...
No matter how much I fight,
I can't forsake the course of time.

The world I wish to acquire is not in my grasp,
All my hopes and dreams...
I watch them exhiled to the land of the unknown.
I can't forsake the course of time.

The fight I lead, is filled with pain and sorrow,
For I know my happiness was never meant to be...
And I knew from the very beginning, that I was right...
I can't forsake the course of time.

I am slain, and it is too much to grasp,
As the sound of sorrow is drowned by my screams...
I lay in a puddle of failure, and I should've known...
I can't forsake the course of time...

Nice use of repetition...Last Stanza was my fav.

You wouldn't worry about what people thought about you if you knew how seldom they did.

EYE...this is a rather dark one...but its true ive felt like a failure many many many times but the voice in my head is really good to me these days and i hate to see you feeling like this alex. youre emotions ran brilliantly through this one- it was very bleak and i thought it reflected your feelings very well. good job of this one too alex!
