"Distractions"

traffic passing me by really fast
the simple way you make me laugh
a look,a smile,a wave,a wink
my loss of thought process,i cannot think

sweet distractions keep coming to me
pleasant distractions only I can see
wonderful distractions,daydreams an fantasies
your gentle touch that makes me weak
the way you listen,the way you speak
only to me
your such a kind friend
you make me wanna live again
I lose all thoughts when your near
yours is the voice I long to hear

when you whisper in my ear
oh,how i wanna be with you
to have an hold near
to be in love an lose all fears

sweet distractions of you keep coming to me

this reads like a song full of anticipation..
great rhyme going on here...
and the repetative lines worked well...

I like the repetitive nature of the poem for emphasis. This is really a sweet poem....

Those are nice flowing lines!

For me life is one big distraction. I guess you'd say I was a dreamer who could really relate to this poem.

This is beautiful and I know the feeling all too well. Ah yes, wether a lover or a friend, it's a feeling of being high, floating on a cloud. Thanks for the read, it's a good one!
