 One Year On (Thank you Passions Poets) I came through your door a year ago today Needing desperately a haven my soul to lay I didn’t know that here I would find a place Somewhere my soul would erase tears trace All I knew as I fell through your open door That I needed help as I never had before And as I look back to who I was a year ago I can feel my memories beginning to flow You wouldn’t recognise me from those days I was so lost and alone my life out of phase I had stumbled and fallen my heart was sore And taken so much that I couldn’t anymore Here in this place my eyes discovered beauty I wandered along spellbound by your poetry Amazed by your words I found faith again You my friends, my family banished my pain You know that I love you, each one of you It’s because of you I’ve come shining through When I fell you reached for me to again rise And when my tears flowed you dried my eyes Your words helped me walk through dark days And with your light my heart you all amaze So thank you my friends my Passions family Truly you all are wonderful and special to me Marsha Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning [This message has been edited by Marsha (edited 05-31-2001).] |
