Grandmother Owl By: Noah Eaton 5/26/01 The child of the Holy Spirit rests in the day Upon it’s maple palace, beguiled in the tender stare of incarnation Ecclesiastic of purity, the papoose of the name of love Resting in enlightenment, feeling the joy of serenity Hallow thy song, lead thy hanger-ons to harbor on His name Rehabilitating these hapless eyes with harmony Bellow your song through the crystal night Break this paean gently to empower all who dodder She rests upon my windowsill, eminence behind a mere reflection A disciple of her wisdom, in what I share my loneliness with Seeking mine infinitives within milky gossamer eyes of truth My lifetime companion ever charms me Hope by thy name, mince mine fears to threads Coddle my innocence in your wings as I rest in my bed Owl, owl, lead thy hanger-ons to harbor on His name For the love of our spirits are the buttons for our faith |

Noah~ This is both spiritually moving and quite imagery-laden. Very nicely portrayed. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |
