Our Lives May 25, 2001 Copyright 2001 Doug Pretorius As though by the things felt and unseen lit by the flames of our own thoughts and feelings, we see a new tomorrow as the dust settles and reveals the path laid in gold and dreams She looks at me with colorless eyes impressions too vivid for my timid gaze the seering heat melts all away and we're left with who we truly are In cosmic time it seems small and unworthy but moments of truth are timeless and guide our souls to a place for rest and song, to free our hearts and fill our love New time becomes old faster than I can think tomorrow approachs and the future stands tall, amongst the trees and the leaves fall changing light patterns in the forest of our lives |
