I've heard she's gone to Georgia Gone, Lord, as I've feared And the love that I never knew Is now no longer near Just like a rose I watched her fade from view And the thorns, they cut so deep They've cut my heart in two Now I sit here patiently As the days slip slowly by I still question why she's gone Still don"t know the reason why Maybe I'm a fool To hang on to this dream I thought there was so much more to us Much more than it now seems But now I've heard she's gone to Georgia Gone, Lord, as I've feared And the love that I never knew Is now no longer near Just like a rose I watched her fade from view And the thorns, they cut so deep They've cut my heart in two I've heard she's gone to Georgia Gone, Lord, as I've feared And the love that I never knew Is now no longer near lost in thought, found in words. |

Nicely written. I hope that you find the love that you never knew. |

The repetitiveness of your words seem to emphasize your deep longing. I really liked how you wrote this and I do hope your dream comes true..... |
