although much had changed, you were stillin my heart, i thought we were friends, good friends, but no more, til i saw you there, more beautiful than before. tears rose to my eyes, but pride kept them in, i looked at your hands, longing to hold them again, and oh the confusion, as it rose to my head, feeling these feeligns - i thought they were dead! in the car i sat wond'ring, could you feel the same?, or had time and distance put out your love's flame? in the mall as we walked, i looked for a sign, why did i give up? you still could have been mine. we sat on a swing, in the back of the Sear's, i longed to touch you, but gave in to my fears. then suddenly you reached, with a grin i could see, made use of the yawn trick, put your arm around me. i looked at your face, in your eyes of deep brown, a giggle escaped, while the tears i held down. seems a year had passed, but nothing had changed, i convinved myself it was gone, but our love had remained. in the minutes that passed, who knows how long, my heart was set free, and was where it belonged. your hand was in mine, and my heart was in yours, our time together had opened the doors; the doors of my heart, shut by pressure and fear of how we could last without having you near. but that day happened for a reason, as things always do, and i know we could make it if we both wanted to, i told myself differently, but i see now it's true, no matter what happens, i'll always love you. Jeremy PS This is a true account of me going back and visiting my ex-g/f after not seeing her for over a year...i moved away last year, and we were in a long distant relationship for 8 monthes until i foolishly broke it off because of my fears. But now that my eyes have been opened, we shall see what happens. I miss her God BLess |

Nice little story of love, with suspense, WD. Hope it works out. |

A touching story, Jeremy. There's nothing worse than "not knowing" or "what if?". I say: do. If it doesn't work out, then at least you have the satisfaction of knowing. Not much worse than being haunted for the rest of your life wondering how your life would be different if only you hadn't succumbed to your fear, which later turns out to have been for not, anyway. There's an old saying which I think has much wisdom: "It's not what you did that you end up regreting in the end -- it's what you didn't do." Hope all goes well. -MVS "If you think you know it all, you have a lot to learn." |
