My Grandparent died in a car accident back in February.  This is a poem that I wrote about it.  I was going to post it in Dark Passions, but I think that it belongs here.  As hard as it has been for those of us that are here greiving, I know that it was a miracle for them.  They were blessed enough to be able to walk through the gates of Heaven hand-in-hand.

It all happened so sudden.
It's all so hard to understand.
In my heart I know it's best.
They've gone to the promised land.

They spent their time here as one.
Together 33 beautiful years.
Loving through the laughter.
Loving through the tears.

His body had grown old and weary.
He was coming to the end of his days.
God knew that he was suffering.
He choose to take him this way.

She wouldn't have survived a day,
Heartbroken all alone.
God knew that they were one.
That's why he called her home.

I search for peace in memories.
I can still see a smiling face.
In this I find a little happiness....
They've gone to a better place.

But when we're left here missing them...it isn't always easier.  Related a lot.

Yes, and in this we do find some resolution.... that we hope to meet again in a better place one day in the future... seems, in a strange way, a blessing that they left together... but perhaps it was all part of the great master plan?  Nice poem that gave me something to think about.....

Very touching write.  May they rest in peace eternally together.

All writing comes

Thanks to all of you for your replies.
I think that sharing this with you all
is part of the healing process for me.
Even though I miss them terribly I know
that this was a blessing for them.
