 Life’s Sunshine I believed for a while that I was born to endless night Now I know I was destined to live in endless delight I’ll always have the sun’s warmth to hold within me There will always be rainbows to gift me with beauty Life is full of promise if you look you’ll see it there There’s magic and there’s wonder in this world to spare Sometimes we forget to look around us we don’t see We stop looking with our hearts we miss life’s mystery I opened my heart to release the prisoner I’d become I realised that life didn’t have to be lived without sun We forget to look out at the opportunities that call Instead we see problems and into pains despair we fall But never again will I leave the glory of loves light I’ll keep open my soul to magic and retrieve my sight Out there in the world I’ll meet with my own destiny I’ll march with pride to face whatever life holds for me I imagined pain and sorrow were my constant friends But now I know that love is constant it never ends I’ll forever have the touch of truth here in my heart Bathing me in joy, it will of me eternally be a part Often we forget that life is a gift so precious and rare We don’t take any time to stand still and simply stare Now I know I need to reconnect myself to my soul I’ll take the chance that life has gifted me to be whole  Marsha Take back the hope you gave,- I claim |
