Getting It Right

I don't know why I was such a fool
to destroy all the love I ever possessed.

Makes me sorry to realize I didn't
appreciate the times when I was blessed.

I understand love isn't a sexual act
performed in the middle of the night.

Perhaps someday I'll touch love the way
it touches me and finally get it right.
