THE PAST When I look back on my childhood I can't be very impressed My big brother was my best friend And then my enemy at best! There were four of us at the time We fought like cats and dogs But stood up for each other in need It all seems such a fog I chose to forget the days of old And start my life anew Until one day it came to haunt I wasn't sure what to do Through love and forgiveness I found my way To stifle all those things But, my oldest brother had hurt me so I couldn't find my wings To fly away from all this hurt To make it disappear Until one day he came to me And said this in my ear 'I'm sorry for the hurt I've caused For all the pain you've suffered I take the blame for what I've done And all the secrets I’ve covered' 'Forgive me please and do not cry I am the one to blame I cannot say exactly why I do feel all the shame' To forgive someone who asks for it Is very easy to do With a heart that’s filled with God’s sweet love Yes, I will forgive you! Well, I haven't been mean to you yet, but hold this in reserve, in case I need to get a rain-check.... seriously, this is good, and something that everyone needs to remember, always. It's a lot easier to say "sorry" now...than later.... |

Tanya, Thanks so much...I was surprised to see this one come up again! I am glad you liked it...I just like to think that I have grown from this and it has made my relationship with God even better!
