some are like icebergs showing their tips openly hiding the greater some are like redwoods standing majestically hiding only roots speak of potential unfathomed iceberg so much to draw on redwoods standing tall grow in nature’s harmony towering bastions both will live long lives both will be measured by man redwoods fall to axe icebergs shrink, back to the sea from whence they were born redwoods, recycled, live on both remembered for grandeur Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write. nice images and metaphors... one giving shade to cool... the other cold in nayure, hidden in most part..gradually revealing more of themsleves..as time passes and they warm... enjoyed this image... let's see..inspiration perhaps: Having broken off and now floating free only part of the whole can be seen without diving deeper into cold waters drifting on currents past shorelines of green, I offer no hold for life but the occaisional visitor who finds the temperature to inclimate for along stay but under it all I was once snowflakes free falling from grace or perhaps.... Towering deep rooted I have stood too long to move I can offer respite from heat in my shade but I can not go with you when you leave So now I wait for storms and time or greed to change me darn it.... so many possibilites on where you can go with these idea... I think I had best leave this one up to you.. Again... I enjoyed greatly... and appreciate the making me think.. |

Lady ~ Thank you. "Some" poets? Hmmm ... SEA ~ Yes, but icebergs regale you like diamonds in a brooch. Ron ~ I HATE it when I get upstaged You really should post this and/or work on more possibilities with that fertile mind of yours. Hmmmm, fertile ... Just what IS that stuff Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write. Philip Sidney (1554-1586) Loving in Truth |

Dear Sir... certainly not trying to upstage anyone... if it so appears..I should put reign on my replies. I have a habit of springboarding off other ideas..and mean it as compliment indeed to your work... as for fertile.. I believe we called that manure back home.... and yes..I am full of it..( grinning) |

Wow...I'm impressed! Those are great metaphors...completely original. A great piece! ~Krista "Poetry and Hums aren't things which you get, they're things which get you. |
