How many battles must be fought? How many sorrows must be survived? To justify the dark thought... That blankets inside & out A thought already understood for eons And never moved away from The voluntary creation... Of a seemingly inescapable abyss Childhood is over...for all of us Yet our pain remains It is time to trust That choosing change will heal History will finally skip over the beat Played ad infinitum All will be at peace And Life will begin anew "Don't take the blue pill..." |

You know, it's funny . . . we spend our whole childhood wishing for the day we'll be grown up and then once we are we wish we could go back. I guess it just shows things are not always as they seem. Great write! All writing comes |

Lone Wolf, thanks for responding. It is rather ironic that once we become adults, we find ourselves (or at least some of us do) having to address issues originating from childhood, left like pocket change in the crevices of a sofa. (By the way: I like your screen name. It reminds me of one of my favorite comic books and a wonderful dream I had about a wolf.) "Don't take the blue pill..." |

LadyLyon~ Welcome to Passions. Don't know how I missed this ... but happy to find it now. I enjoyed reading your thoughts. I was particularly struck by this little gem I found tucked in your reply~ 'left like pocket change in the crevices of a sofa' Oh .... how real is that ! Again ... WELCOME ! ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

Thank you Marge and Shadow for your comments. They mean a lot to me, being very new to poetry. "Don't take the blue pill..." |
