The Journey

Hold back the night that threatens day
This journey I must make in light
How dare that it would eat the sun
And take the path from out my sight

Rein in the stars and bind them strong
Pull back the cloak that I might see
This trek before me is quite long
And has the note of urgency

Though miles behind me, more ahead
And sometimes weary in this quest
I am the leader, never led
The time grows short, I cannot rest

Eclipse the moon and anchor taut
Let not it steal the sun's last ray
Let not it this adventure halt
For on life's journey I must stay

whether you take your journey in light or darkness, it's a journey of experience and sometimes failure....but nonetheless its a journey you take to gain....wonderful poem...
