At first I swear I bore your taste, this sober hindsight resents, I do recall the pillows laced for a while with your fragrance. A few strands left in my hairbrush, some lacy things left in my chest, a birthday card with Hallmark mush echoed an almost empty nest. Your big white dog I gave away we got on but she screamed betrayal. gone to acreage with kids to play, young folks at my last garage sale. In a grog of a moonless reach, cross the width of a queenless bed, the last few lessons you would teach now I dreamless, sleep like the dead. When I moved I found silk ties, from my center burst our last flame, ne'er this passion romanticize now limp as those ties on bedframe. Both longing, resentment are gone and time lightens shades of the drear, I'm sure you are fine my doe eyed blond, what of me for it's been o'er a year? |

cross the width of a queenless bed... Sunshine picked my favorite line..and the sadness of this speaks to my heart and cries out for solace. Exceptional writing. |

Most eloquent and flavored very nicely with imagery: When I moved I found silk ties, from my center burst our last flame, ne'er this passion romanticize now limp as those ties on bedframe. I love the multi-layeredness of this stanza. Very finely crafted, RS. -MVS "If you think you know it all, you have a lot to learn." |

Haunting images in this one, Richard. It just aches of good-bye. All writing comes |
