Listening to every heart

little successes and good days

waking up ~
alternative: not…
a little success

goes a long way to
making my day…

from there, it’s all up…

so a good day is
finding yet another treasure
to add to those now shelved
in my space

finding McKuen a home

although I’m sure
he is no longer
a man alone

and I wouldn’t strip him
of bits and parts
already in
his past

I have to admit, the grin was
wide today

as Stanyan Street & Other Sorrows
became mine,
and a bigger find of
The World of Rod McKuen,
music and lyrics

joined the swelling ranks
of treasures…

gracing my shelves

the only other part that made
my day complete…

sharing smiles…

so color me golden
then, as we
listen to the warm
coming close to the earth
with love
where
celebrations of the heart
are found in
lonesome cities
while
fields of wonder
are
caught in the quiet

and we read aloud,
you and I,
recapturing
love

Kari..this touches close to home for me...Listen to the Warm has certain significance for me (You might remember?)...this is going in my library my friend...THANK YOU for it - it's beautiful..and moves me.
