Dustbin Wisdom Virginia Salter If you wish to know the extent of your blessings seek the contents of your dustbin, for in learning of that which you toss aside, its inherent value to another, be it to an animal or a human, you may then have an inkling of the value of that which you’ve kept or consumed © July 5, 2001 [This message has been edited by VAS (edited 07-07-2001).] |

Thanks, PM! I'm wondering if I should call this "Dustbin Wisdom" or "Wisdom from the Dustbin" |

I am regretful that as a middle class American that I will throw away more in one day than what many will know in a lifetime. You've made a very poignant point. |

sorry, i am awfully late!! cool! i never thought of trash in that way before....i must agree though, one must count his blessings when he need not scrape and save but instead can afford to throw away things.... well, you made me reflect! i'm just collecting stories in life....colleen from survivor 1 |

Thanks, faterider. I can't imagine what brought you so far back to happen to find this, but I'm glad you reminded me of it. It's a day I need to listen to the wisdom that has passed by/through my brain. Lighthousebob, too many of us could/should say the same. |
