Rose-Colored Glasses ~*Marge Tindal*~ This world I see is perfect Colored with such clarity Seen through my rose-colored glasses I color things the way I want them to be If the world seems a little dark with things that I don't want to see Adorned in my rose-colored glasses I can pretend they don't exist for me I could hide my head in the sand the way that an ostrich would do But shucks, I've got rose-colored glasses to give my world the loveliest hue Everything I want to see lies within my rosy view Lensed in rose-colored glasses I'll gladly share a pair with you The bunch of us can be enthralled with the visions of the day In rose-colored glasses all the ugly-is-as-ugly-does will go away Well, it won't really disappear but we can pretend it doesn't exist Wearing our rose-colored glasses we'll see the world perfectly-draped in a rose-colored mist *You-know-who-you-are* Tee-Hee ! ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

i like my rose colored glasses but unfortunately, i can't find them today.... maybe i left them out in the car..... going to look .... wish me luck..... i liked your poem....  |

Marge, this is great, and I have to tell you I do own a pair. A real pair, wear them every time I leave the house. It makes this town so much more attractive And all the cars look purple for some reason. LOL Happy thoughts.. Sandra |
