And Soon (An explaination of sorts to some of my friends)

I know you've wondered what's become of me
Truth to tell I'm been a little bit off colour you see
My joi de viere has taken a bus out of heart's town
And my smile is wearing a faded and patched gown
I used to visit very frequently this haven of the good
Leaving my message of love's light whenever I could
But I'm not beaten down yet I can still see the light
And soon I shall leave this vale of eternal dark night

I know you newbies have asked puzzeled who's she?
Truth to tell I was once a close member of this family
My voice could be heard echoing in accents quite clear
Calling out to banish and repel the darkest pains fear
I wandered these hallowed halls sending out my heart
Never knowing that from my friends I'd be kept apart
But I'm not defeated yet I can still see poetic beauty
And soon I shall get up and fight for my own victory

I know that you folks haven't seen very much of me
Truth to tell it's been a while since I smiled sunnily
My face hasn't been peeping into this poetic door
I used to be here reading and replying to you all more
I knew the names and was friendly with all the greats
Now it's difficult for me to even find the poetic gates
But I'm not bowed into abject submission no not yet
And soon I shall return to give you all as good as I get

I know that you think I've vanished like the cold mist
Truth to tell I've not had the chance to be poetically kissed
My hand hasn't been stretched out to assit and help you
It often would be me who would pull someone through
I would speak in light words that were carefree and gay
Now I don't know quite what I should do or even say
But I'm not out for the count I promise I'm still here
And soon I shall be sitting here again in beauty's chair
Marsha

I am here, and am aware of you...

Well ... (parenthesis) in the title or not ..
I'm willing to get disconnected to reply to this one ...
You take care of you ... we're saving you a place in our hearts, lovie.

I LOVE YA', sister !
Now stop putting those darned parenthesis in the title ! !

Mushy,
Please don't explain
if you're in pain
I'll be there in the double
for I owe you
your comfort true
kept me out of trouble
your poet's kiss
I know I miss
your pink of froth and stubble
rest awhile
until you smile
and return to us with bubble

Hi Marsha (Newbie here!), well I look forward to your return and can you see that you are missed?  Take care, and get back here when you can, as Balladeer said, where else is there to go but home.  Oh....very nice poem and a wonderfully done explanation to your friends.  Take care.

If I made you smile today then I did my job!

even though your hand isn't held out. . . ours is my friend. . . and we will always hold the door open for you love. . .

as always, your heart shows through your writing, which is why it always speaks to me. . .

My so dear and beloved family thank you muchly always I can rely on you, to bring a smile and to understand.

I shall of course be fine, Margie has ordered her healing spirits to clear away whatever it was that I've picked up. It certainly has me and an awful lot of docs baffled. And I'm sure that anyday now they are going to be tossing the bad whatevers out of me so I can get back to being the little Puck you all know of old. In the meantime I reply when I can, not as much as I'd like to, but it does take me a little while.

My love to you all I will get better I promise, in the meantime when I make an appearance I read and reply to as many as I can.

Thank you all so much
Take care
