From an English Boy to an American girl, for the 4th of July. A Nation that produces a wonderful woman like you, can't be all bad (lol). I'll be celebrating with you tomorrow. Where my heart is (for Judy) Repost from open 8. From Blake's "satanic mills" I come where industry first scarred this sceptre'd Isle, Innocent of "Camberley heavy with bells" my pores seep coal and calluses of swarf, My mudded boots entrenched, in cobblestones and slag, But my heart ascends through caustic clouds cocoon to a distant shore, 'Cross Mississippi's bright ribbon and on, through waving corns expanse to Her, My field of Dreams, A daughter of pioneers who work the land and I a son of steam and soot, So different, so alike our heritage of Plymouth Rock is found, Our Future to be as one.
