My Legacy Of Life I chose to take the hand of my destiny and run a thousand miles I was sure my shadow of her would always stay For I was lucky enough to witness that ever gentle light My legacy of living was just one deep breath away... Still I chose to take the sun as my very best friend For her and the sun would highlight my journey along My legacy of loving was beyond any words I could find I loved her to the rhythm of the most angelic like song... Still I chose to dare the nights to fall hard upon me For the challenge to find her the more weak I became I was smothered in words I thought she'd never turn her back on The legacy of lies from her lips left me never the same... Still I chose to keep looking and found but empty land Still I chose to hold onto the only home I've known The legacy of leaving me found a new route to my heart For I run, I still do, just mostly alone... Still I chose for the moon to frown and myself to drown In the memories saved for sanity here in my mind It's the legacy of losing her to that familiar wind That I can't live without dying so many times... Now, I choose for the later to be just a morning away And, I will have what is righteously mine at last For the winds will change again and when they surely do I have a one way ticket to heaven this time and I'm not coming back...
