Moon Fire Hootenanny Cool and important queen of sky’s bloomed eruptions by thundering sound and dripping color unaffected Even the back yard that had strummed in curved harmony hushed and the dog a greyhound who had so cleverly tongued a chicken wing off-grill lay amongst quieted yodels of song in total surrender as she took over the night in serene festival [This message has been edited by Martie (edited 07-06-2001).] |

a little explanation: If you are as old as I am, you remember the group "We Five"...and their hit song, When I Woke up this Morning, You Were on my Mind". Well, the whole family is into music...they are friends, and we were at their house..everyone with guitars and voices..the moon was the only quiet thing about the night (as it was also the 4th of July). I can see where the she at the end is too close to talking of the dog...when it was actually the moon I was talking about. As for "nonplussed"...after Kamla pointed out that I spelled it wrong, I also realized it wasn't the right word...so it's gone...yup! Thanks for reading!
