My attorney says "do this", my doctor says "do that", my boss diligently watches my every move, and the insurance adjuster sinisterly plots my demise. So of late when asked How are you? With all my medical troubles I have to stop before I lie and say I am fine. I think from here on out I am going to take the fifth. |

I love this even though it aches with the pain of being in a no-win situation. (And ROFL @ the thought of drinking the fifth instead of taking it! *G*) It's tough when it gets to the point where a simple "How are you?" brings the answer "How long do you have to listen?" *G* Hang in there, hon... I'm looking for those (toll-free! *G*) fax numbers. *G* |

Boy JB...do I know what you're talking about! I was caught up in that doctor/lawyer/employer mill 3 or 4 years back and in the end, I felt they missed the target in getting me back to work. My injuries didn't permit me to return to my old job (which paid very well) so I found myself terminated and starting over in my 50's. Yes, they reasonably patched me up and put a little money in my bank account but what they failed to do was to fix or even diagnose the emotional/psychological damages I live with now. Today, I find myself applying and getting turned down for jobs that pay half of what I was making. My self-respect, self-confindence, ego...all shattered...my marriage is strained...and to top it all off, I'm feeling like it's my fault!!?? Go figure! Anyway, be careful, good luck and I'm sorry for the vent. Your well written poem struck a chord with me.*S* Mike [This message has been edited by Packratmike (edited 05-25-2001).] |

thanks helen, have missed reading you too jm.....love you lady.....glad you enjoyed, and [email protected] have been entertaining a bit of those thoughts...these adjusters and the unfariness of the situation make me so mad....well.....nuff said *g* right?....if you hear of a random shooting, you know, not to kill, just to cause a lot of pain and suffering, of a particular insurance agent...IT WASN'T ME..... ROFG suthern...you keep finding me fax numbers...if I can fax instead of shoot, I will get out some of my frustration love you lady, thank you for stopping by mike, no problem on the vent, and yes I know just what you mean, I am stuck in the same vane, my attorney wants me to stay home, my doctor too, but my job is up for my first year review, the rest of my time here hinges on it, and so do I gamble that staying home will make me better (and that the compensation will be just and fair and enough), or just grit my teeth and try to work it through? And my biggest worry is the insurance company, they flatly refuse to pay me what my car is worth, or any other property losses that I am rightly due, so now am I to hope and expect that when it comes to the medical part they will do a turn around and be fair.....I think not...sigh.....I could write a book, but unless you have been through it, you just don't understand.....hey...email me...we can vent to each other ...and if you read this...read my other prayer for the slowly dying 9...its about the same thing...thanks mike |
