The summers morning grass
Is sparkling wet with dew
The sun peers over the horizon--
The tender earth is still cool.
The sun's rays gain strength
And warm the world from end to end
A warmth that touches both of us
As you become my friend.
The rays grow warmer rapidly
Each flower looks to the sun,
Our friendship will grow stronger
As our souls become one.
The sun dries the delicate dew
And opens every flower,
And you my friend have dried my tears
With love the strongest power.

I know this one is a little weak but I wrote it when I was 10 years old.  That was 20 years ago.

Just ten?  Heck, I couldn't write that well when I was in my twenties.  Amazing!
