Deep in the heart

clouds forming darkly
lightning strikes while thunder rolls
rain falling earthward

trees offer branches
welcoming life giving rain
nourishment embraced

leaves spin with the breeze
frolicking in aftermath
clouds lift and sun shines

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write. Philip Sidney (1554-1586) Loving in Truth

no can do haiku
sighing as I read your verse
counting syllables

I love the form but can't quite capture that minimalist flair...sigh...guess I type too much!

Sighing afterwards
earth drank deeply from passing
green was born again

Great job, Interloper.  I felt like I was watching it happen before my eyes.
