Look Me In The Eye ~~Daniel J D~~ I am just a child Soon I will be no more I cannot walk, I never will Sorrow I have seen May I ask where you've been I have only known hunger All I ever ask for was some water To fill my weak body Promises have come and gone Children like me have also gone Hopefully to heaven above Soon I'll be with them I am just a child of poverty I have no home, no food, no clothing Some say things will get better But, tell that to my mother She hangs on to me crying She cannot leave me die alone Just think of me, I am pain I am sorrow, I am heartache I am a newly born, I'll die soon Does anybody really care who I am I was meant for this earth Why then do I leave it so soon Permit me one simple answer If you can ever look me in the eye Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love (Daniel J D) [This message has been edited by Daniel J D (edited 07-01-2001).] |

so sad...i have a little child with the christian childrens fund in Honduras..i wish i could have alot more..nicely written Daniel. ~Victoria~ Every child is an artist. The challenge is to remain an artist once he grows up. |

Then my belief is that these innocent ones will be reborn again to a better and more gentle world, for this one is just too bitter and cold for them..heartbreaking write, but so very true, how nicely done...gentle smile |
