He hates the dentist hasn't been in years until the pain won out and he was in tears now a root canal has called his name wondering around no one to blame except himself. says I am gloating cause a few weeks ago I asked if I could make him an appointment and he changed the subject and just glared at me like I was some kind of a nut. he has gum disease but has all his teeth the dentist said he is lucky Mr Macho turned the pain pills down and decided the next day it was a wrong move might know the dentist was not in maybe because it was the end of the day when he called for me to track him down. He hasn't got the root canal yet not until the infection goes away. now they say the doctor will be out of town only if he would of listened to me and didn't think that I was nagging I wanted to try and prevent this kind of thing but I guess he just doesn't understand. Penicillin and pain pills cholesterol and high blood pressure pills thank God for the golf course I think he is having a good time. Hes too sick to talk to me sits quietly in his recliner but not to sick to be hitting that little ball all over creation in 95 degree weather. Every child is an artist. The challenge is to remain an artist once he grows up. |

Oh my....I would laugh? But that is me!!!! btw...I have an appointment too, now...and yanno what did it for me? I saw someone who had emergency dental surgery for an abcess--They literally sliced his jaw from the outside to create three "drain" slits...ew... But to sympathize with the personage of this, er, tribute? I, too, have a dentist phobia. It's not even the pain, I think, but the SOUND of the procedures. Just no way to block that out unless they knock me out. (I imagine that sound is the last thing an oyster hears, yanno?) Grins and hugs! |

Ah shoo! I thought this "nutty as a fruitcake" comment was going to be directed at me and I was going to ask "what's it to ya!".... and had a good laugh, instead! Thanks for this! |

My sympathy to him. I know the fear of a dentist. One of the happiest days of my life was when I had the rest of my teeth out. When I came out from anesthesia my first words were "I will never have another toothache as long as I live." I have never regretted that day. Tell him he is not alone. |

Thanks folks..i dont think he fears it ..he just does not want to take time out of his day to go..my brother in law must fear it cause he needs gas to get his teeth cleaned.ha..my girlfriend fears the dentist..but the dentist took time and sat and had a nice talk with her and fixed her a cup of coffee and made her feel comfortable..and i think she is over it now. |
