The Giving Flower As the sun moves into another rising, flowers open to beauty and close to death. Molding with the leaves swept from the tree onto the path, making room for the new bud, the end becomes the beginning. The flower, nipped in the bud colors the room, singing a heart, joying the dancing boy and girl, catching the girl’s hair in the color that sparkles her eyes. Given with love, it lays tangled in the memory of years, pressed against the pages of time and grows a memory. If a flower is plucked by some raging storm, another bloom will be set from its seeds, its petals will enrich the ground, and nothing will be lost or forgotten. In Spring new flowers color the hills, and from a mound of plain, brown earth life will return. _______ a rewrite of a very old poem In the dew of little things, the heart finds its morning and is refreshed. I cant think of a job more perfect than being a "flower girl" for you... OH...with one exception.... there is a little matter of you being a writer *wink* me We're all feeding our lonely like it might go away, |

Metaphorically, this one of the most enlightning poems I have read in some time. Janet Marie is right, what better job than yours? Also, you just reminded me where I pressed all those flowers for my stained glass boxes, thanks Martie Lovely! "Lose your temper and you lose a friend; lie and you lose yourself." |
