Rewrite:

Dragon Wings

If only I had dragon wings
I’d hover o’er the why of things.
I’d singe the tail of muse in flight
And breath more fire into right.

I’d soar the mundane of each day
Just leave it and I’d fly away.
I’d find the magic of the clouds
The lightening of the thunders loud

The rainbows end its pot of gold
The start and finish of unfold
I’d search the primal forest green
Savor the beauty of the scene

I’d fly with all the butterflies
And dance with them above the whys
Watch colors of the sun below
Watch changes of the moons shadow.

No end of watching lovely things
If only I had dragon wings.

Someone will find warm reception
if a thoughtful muse has intention
of winging in to visit you, here ~
so I shall scurry on out, my dear!

Enjoyed!  But then, I ALWAYS do!

I love the idea of the whole poem......I hope it's not a cover up for that randy dragon Janet Marie mentioned.......you might be soaring and looking for something not mentioned in this fine poem..........If so, I hope you find it!!   He he    great poem!

You already do have wings to fly
the wind beneath them ... a butterfly's sigh
If you dream of flying to butterfly land
you need only open your mind and take my hand
We'll fly over rainbows and oceans of blue
soar into sunsets awash in violet hues
We'll dance on the stars and hang the moon
do it all again tomorrow should the dream end too soon

So do you dare to dream like a dragonfly
you wont know if you dont try
