Somewhere (just now I do not care) My veins are softly, gently strummed The ray of light, your golden hair And all my senses swiftly numbed I rest my head and the grass calms me You hang your head where the sun should be The sun is here, I shade my eyes Racing beats can't deafen cries I rest my head Where the weeds still grow When I fell in love I didn’t think you’d know The sun beats down, enlivens me And at that moment I cannot see Why the world should need gravity Just pull me in and I’ll be free But you leave me here so that I can die In a field of grass and a “Wonder Why?” I rest my head on blackened plague If you knew how it’s hard to see Grass turned o'er in its final throes You had the chance to get close to me You hung your head Where the sun once shone You made me think That I should have known That love is wonder and why I try To hang your head up in the sky [This message has been edited by wayoutwalt (edited 06-30-2001).] |

Hey Walt....sad poem! I don't think she's right for you. I mean how could you know? It's well written sad love song! The role of poetry is to utter the un-utterable; to open up |

Sad write, Walt. Yet, I got somewhat of a contented feeling with this one. Not sure that was right, but that's what I felt. Keep up the good work! All writing comes |

I agree, a sad poem...but so eloquently written! ~Krista P.S. Your profile picture throws off the mood of the poem a tad cute picture! |

sadness from the master of mirth. . . weep not sad clown. . . --------------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |
