In-Between-Lovers Cold and lonely For the dawning of July Waiting despite my will Not knowing when one will arrive Cold and lonely Still not knowing why Crept upon by summers deep chill Just trying to survive Cold and lonely Besieged by boredom, fye! Of his sweet kiss still To be eternally deprived Cold and lonely Not strength enough to cry So another sweet pill gone Ushering more time-passed-by This is what it's like To be in-between-lovers While the last runs back To the apron strings of his mother! I'm cold and lonely For another bitter July. "We also know how cruel the truth often is, and we wonder whether delusion is not more consoling."- Henri Poincare (1854-1912) |

another bitter July... I liked the poem a great deal. and I hope July can become as sweet as the blackberries it produces and as warm as the sun it embraces... |

SecretWhisper~ 'Cold and lonely Not strength enough to cry' Whew ... went there once ... didn't like it~ Returned to the land of the living. This is a deeply-emoted vehicle of sadness. Well written. *Hugs* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

The time between. Time to think. Time to recollect. Time to regroup. Time to be. Let yourself be. Let yourself be free. |
