poetry how it soothes the soul quietly lingers as thoughts finger their way through to you tender, tender comes sweet word soft in whisper lovingly heard he says he shall put it away save it for another day she says she shall safely wrap all the missives in her lap o poetry, what a gift some simple lines give hearts lift no mere cards of Hallmark fame are none better for a poet’s chain of words in rhyme or in verse run free as these simple words from you to me poetry how it soothes the soul quietly lingers as thoughts finger their way through from me to you |

wh, yes, poetry can do and be all that, you've said it softly and tenderly, sprinkling your words down the page |
