What manner man is this who with such charm, would woo a woman's kiss then do her harm? What vandal of Love's trust passion ignites, to steal the fruit of lust and then take flight? This man no man at all but just a boy, we learn when we are small this clever ploy, to dance as though romance was our intent, seeds plant, we fasten pants then off we went. What wiling woman she who would seduce, intent in perfidy fortune reduce? Unblink in Eros eye and lure to sup, invent to qualify and then bankrupt? Remember ye past tense from long before? Twas then sweet innocence you treated whore. On her flesh you cut teeth your game, her shame, but now her fangs unsheath and we're to blame. Shakespere's Lovers starcrossed from act to scene, contentedness pays cost when Love's demeaned. |

Well, that's quite the poem....... " From forth the fatal loins of these two foes a pair of star crossed lovers take their lives." The whole scene has never been fair throughout the annals of mankind's history! You are a very good poet Richard! |

Well the battles have never been fair that is for sure, but in case you haven't noticed we are starting to stand on our own two feet now and wield a bigger stick! Great poem Richard, and yes you are a good poet that is for sure! "Lose your temper and you lose a friend; lie and you lose yourself." |

SEA; Glad you liked it. PoemCrazy; Perhaps I should but you may on second glance notice I was 3 times more critical of the male spieces than female. ethome; That's the highest compliment I've been paid. Thank you. Mysteria; Women are only the weaker sex when young. Cpat Hair; I bow and am grateful for the attention. Interloper; lightning quick thank you. Victoria; A beautiful name and I'm originally from Pittsburgh (20 years ago) Irish Rose; This side of Texas is swampy and rife with Bayou mosquitos, humidity and flat sea level land. Marge Tindal; At times I (we?) are both. Thanks "Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve" |
