This was written sitting at a Barnes and Noble in Woodinville, WA, while waiting for my daughter's work day to end.

Roads
Virginia Salter

transport
connect lives, lies;
tie city to country with a clover shaped bow;
lace forest to shore,
free,
govern,
trevasse, trespass,
heal,
sever.
their clients
bring the circus,
steal sons, daughters,
move armies,
carry lovers,
lead,
end.
