I feel like a blossom
upon a prickly pear cactus
waiting for the touch
of sultry desert rains
I want to be kissed
the way the sunshine kisses
the breast of a meadowlark

I want to feel the rains of love
the lavender rains
replenishing my soul
not a mirage, but reality
within our hearts

Eerie echos of a coyote
serenade the stars
as you make me blush
like a brown eyed evening
primrose

Ravish my bones
be my raven in the night
beneath a wingspan
of desert moonlight

Every child is an artist. The challenge is to remain an artist once he grows up.
