I Love The Rain Rain… I love the rain, the way it patters on the leaves and the roof, the way it splashes in the puddles, rushes from the eves, the way its gentle mist caresses my skin. I love the way it rushes in a storm, stinging my arms and face with its rage, the way it steadily falls staight down from the sky, cleansing all it touches, renewing all it can reach. I love the way it soothes my soul with its steady drumming timed to the beat of my heart, the way it eases the ache when I'm down, touches me deeply when I love, takes me in it's hands washing away the old, exposing the new, the gentler me. I love the rain - in its glory, its rage, in every way it exists. I love the rain, I love… the Rain. w. james beard, jr. © June 2001 |

Ohhh, yes...I looooove the rain, too! Just not when it's cold enough to freeze...that's a different story!  But, I just love when it rains...I can remember being at a rest stop in WV on I-81 a few weeks back, and it started to rain pretty hard, but it was absolutely beautiful...well, sorry if that's more than you needed to know, but, I love your poem! Great work!sp  it was love that first drew me, |
