Twilight Time

what is to be said
then, about
twilight’s advancing years

certainly, when with
the right love
there is nothing come to fear

who is to say to one
that the best
is yet to come?

so look forward then
with delight,
as twilight becomes our when…

this shall be the time
when all love
erupts in sheer glory

now, sit here and pen
with me
all the rest of our story

and we shall leave in
our pasts
all miseries and despair behind

take up our scars
the never lost dreams
and with our love then, combine

so my sweet
never feel
lost, and all alone

as you, my love
are in my heart,
and in our twilight, home

write with grace, all others lose face;
"Jo was very tall, thin, ... and reminded one of a colt..." LMA

i think the last verse says it all... a beautiful piece and one I am sure will be appreciated by the one it was written for.

Every element of this piece is marvelous, but the wonderful originality of phrase in this stanza stands out, for me, more than all the others.

That everyone could have twilight years such as you describe... lovely

This is just how it should be. Beautiful thoughts, in a lovely, flowing poem.

Oh do I ever love this one...it flowed like honey, and being in those "twilight years", I was listening.  Beautiful!
