Anticipating the rain
This fire burns within
Nerves taught with want
Electricity in the air
That crisp burning sensation
Before……….
Being saturated
Consumed by each drop
Methodically falling
Knowing exactly where to land
Upon bare skin
Gleaning glistening
Creating sheen
Following flow
Calming with such force ~
Soothing this raw need
Yet never smothering
What burns within…………….

Calling the fire department right now....
this fire needs more than rain.

IN RHYTHM WITH THE RAIN ... WHOOOOWOOO

very cool write me raindancer girlie...
this is sensual and aching at the same time of being serene..
love the longing in this...
The Rain is for sure one of your sweetest muses.

Susan,

I don't think what burns within could ever be smothered.    This is such a pretty write.
