Why Do Birds Suddenly Sing So Gay? |

Given the choice between Why do birds suddenly appear? and Why do birds sing so gay? I think that I’ll take this choice: Why do birds fly so fast that I’m never able to shoot them when they fly overhead? and Why do birds always have to be around When we’re talking about falling in love? I mean, really think about it Birds are just a little too noisy on some Summer mornings When all we’d rather do is just sleep Curled up with the one person that can actually deal With looking at us in the morning (that’s when you know it’s love!) and Birds are always leaving little presents for you On your car whenever you’ve just come back from the car wash Especially when we’re going out later that night For some really expensive food at a quiet, secluded restaurant That we read about in the paper and What about when you’ve just cleaned that picture window Just so, and then you turn around and you hear “THUD!” And you whirl around fast enough to see the sliding remains Of a robin or a swallow or a purple martin Who didn’t pull up fast enough and I’m sure that all of you have seen “The Birds” Late nights on some lost cable channel I don’t know about you, but I sure didn’t want to be Tippi Hedren When she was trapped in that telephone booth (did you know that phone booth usage dropped 50% for months afterward?) So, Do we really still want to have birds around While we’re falling in love? Why do we always compare love to a bird’s song Or to a bird’s flight Or to a bird’s wing? Next thing you know, I’ll be comparing the nose of my lover To a bird’s beak! So, is love for the birds? Or Have we all just gone to the dogs? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. [This message has been edited by Sven (edited 06-25-2001).] |

Tell me do birds ever sleep? At 3:30am I get woke up by these darn birds making all kinds of racket. You call it singing, thats not what I think of it. I assume this was a dare from the other side. Enjoyed reading, it was almost as good as the movie, The Birds!!! |

Do you think birds know the time? My birds wake up at exactly 5:06 each morning, not 5:10, or 5:05, and heaven forbid 9:30 but exactly 5:06! This is driving me crazy...do you suppose that is the purpose of these feathery critters? Oh don't get me started...this was cute Sven!
