looming nigh the
moment

will the spark,
spark

will the candle
kindle

shall the moon
wax and wane

will either ever
‘gain be sane

or be same
as before

this, the pall of noir

in breathless
realize

a chemist’s dream
shall materialize

in the meeting
of the eyes

in the touch
the spark shall shower

all ‘neath this
most heavenly bower

looming nigh the
moment

breath in breast
comes up in rise

looming nigh

chest tightens
in surprise

looming

hear the sighs…
